I can’t let June pass without acknowledging the death of Eric Carle (1929-2021) and his amazing contribution to children’s literature.
Having published over 70 books in 70 languages, Eric Carle has delighted and charmed children worldwide with his captivating stories and illustrations. The most well-known of all, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, was first published in June 1969 and has become one of the best-selling children’s books of all time, selling over 50 million copies.
